Francesco Zuccarelli was born in Italy and started his training under a Florentine scene painter before studying in Rome. He moved to Venice in 1732 and turned into the city’s leading scene craftsman. Zuccarelli’s paintings gained favor in England because of the support of Joseph Smith. Zuccarelli was in England from 1752 to 1762 and 1765 to 1771. He helped to establish the Royal Academy and turned into its leader. In 1763, he was chosen for the Venetian Academy and turned into its leader in 1772. Notwithstanding scene paintings, Zuccarelli created various drawings, strict paintings, engravings, and embroidery plans.
