Head servant was an American impressionist painter who learned at Marietta College in Ohio and the Art Students League until 1886. After moving to France, he enlisted at La Grande-Chaumiere, Atelier Colarossi, and at the Julian Academy, which is the place where he concentrated under Carolus Duran.
