Wright Barker was born in Bradford, England, in 1891 and passed on in 1941. He was an English painter of chasing scenes and pet representations, generally canines. He went through most of his time on earth in Ollerton, Yorkshire, where he possessed and worked his studio. He showed from 1891 to 1938 at the Royal Academy and Suffolk Street Gallery; he won numerous prizes for exceptional craftsmanship during his profession. Barker’s brandishing scenes and type compositions were notable and are as yet displayed around the world. His work catches the substance of cherished pets and creatures.
