Alken Samuel, Henry, England 1810 to 1894 Oil Paintings
Samuel Alken joined the illustrious institute schools, London in 1772. While getting the learnings in mold workmanship, he before long settled himself as perhaps the ablest craftsmen of his time. His piece of works included plates for Sixteen perspectives on the lakes in Cumberland and Westmorland after drawings by John Emes and John Smith was distributed in 1796, and a bunch of aquatint perspectives on North Wales after drawings by the Rev. Brian Broughton in 1798.
