Tiziano Vecelli, better known as Titian, was born in Itally in approximately 1485 and died in 1576. He was the leader of the Venetian School, an art group that was characterized by their use of warm vivd color and picturesque scenes. Titian was a master of religious paintings in the High Renaissance period. He was considered an extremely accomplished painter as he was skilled in portraits, landscapes, and mystical subjects. The method of his artistry went on to become deeply influential to Western art.
