Guillaume Seignac was born in Rennes, France in 1870 and died in 1924. He was a French academic painter. From 1889 to 1895 he trained at the Julian Academy in Paris, his teachers included the notorious Gabriel Ferrier, Tony Robert-Fluery, and William Bougereau. Seignac's work was considered figurative, portraying genre and even mythological themes. He regularly displayed his work at the Salon, winning several awards and honors.
