Pierre Justin Ouvrie was a French scene painter, brought into the world in 1806 and passed on in 1879. Born in Sotteville-lès-Rouen, Justin Ouvrié was a student of Baron Taylor and Abel de Pujol at the Ecole des beaux-arts de Paris. His paintings can be seen at the Paris Salon from 1831 onwards with paintings on towns and monuments, sometimes as historical or picturesque scenes.
