Felix Vallotton Paintings
Felix Vallotton was born in Lausanne, Switzerland. He studied at the Academy Julian with Toulouse-Lautrec. Felix Vallotton was a member of the Nabis Symbolist movement, and one of the principal collaborators in Le Revue Blanche. His most notable paintings were wood engravings, which were immensely popular and brought him immediate success. He is regarded as a forerunner of the generation of artist engravers, which included such names as Kandinsky, Munch, and Beardsley.
